We all heard about the terrible tsunami that occurred in Japan on 3/10/11. Well first it was the earthquake then came the tsunami. Can you imagine that even happening. Well when I heard about it in the news I felt so scared for those people having to go through that terrible disaster. But I was relieved when I also heard some people LIVED THROUGH THAT! I really wished I could do something to help those people but for now i guess I can just pray that they will be okay, like my mom told me. On Saturday morning ( 3/19/11 ) my mom told my sister and I that when her and my dad were watching the news the other night on TV. The news reporter person said that there might be a tsunami in New York City and probably in New Jersey!!! The reporter said they don't know what day or what time, but that we need enough food for 3 DAYS!
I got so scared when my mom told me that. The reason why I got really scared was because the things that came to my head when she said that. The first thing that came to my head was 2012. The second thing that came to my head is how when the tsunami happened in Japan, not many people survived or lived. But I guess we deserve it too. I guess it's kind of like now we get a taste of our own medicine because of all the damage that WE'VE been doing to Earth, and Earth is giving it back. My mom was also thinking of running somewhere so we wont be in the tsunami if it does or when it happens. But the thing that my sister told me made me feel better. She said " But we can't just keep running away, because eventually it's going to catch you." Those words that my sister said made me realize that maybe it's for the best if the tsunami's happen, and that we shouldn't run away because even if you don't want to believe it, it going to catch you anyways. But I guess we'll just have to find out on our own when it happens one day.
