Disobeying Your Parents
It was a beautiful day outside, the sun was out, the birds were chirping, and I had planned to go to the park with my friends. After I finished my homework and ate dinner, I asked my mom if I could hangout with my friends. " I don't know, maybe " said my mom with a little annoyed tone in her voice. " But I need an answer now " I responded in a bratty voice. I stomped my feet against the carpet on my way to my room. Under my breath I whispered to myself *Its not fare, I haven't gone out all week, and I'm bored at home right now*. I was so frustrated with my mom that day I didn't feel like talking to her. After i took my shower, I kept asking my mom why i couldn't hangout with my friends. She kept saying the same thing. " Because I told you that you cant hangout ". I didn't want to hear no for answer, but shes my mom so I had to listen to her. But all I did for the rest of the night is keep asking WHY... At 8:00 or so I asked my mom one last time. I was surprised when she said I could. I literally felt my frown turn upside down.
When I came back home, I told my mom I was sorry. I felt bad for what I did to make her upset. But now I know if my parents say I cant go or do something I should keep my mouth closed and just agree with them, no matter how much I want to do or go somewhere/ something. I also know not to get my mom or dad mad at me because then they take away some of my privileges. Now I will try to listen to them.
I really liked your post. It was a good length. I have done the same thing, and my parents get mad at me, too. Great post. Keep blogging!!!
